Maxi fly trap

The maxi fly trap reliably keeps outdoor areas free from annoying flies. The attractant is not included in the scope of delivery and is available as an initial or refill pack in the Schopf Hygiene range. Suitable for outdoor areas, agriculture, livestock farming and paddocks.

Functionality

Annoying flies are lured into the trap body by a special attractant from which they can no longer escape. The attractant is available separately and activates its effect through UV radiation within 2-3 days.

Instructions for use

1. Open the lid of the bucket.
2. Press the black funnel parts from the outside inwards into the side openings of the bucket and make sure they click into place.
3. Open the can of attractant and add 5 sachets of bait (1 sachet ≈ 20 g) to the bucket.
4. Fill each bag with approx. 600 ml of warm water (approx. 3 l of water in total) and close the bucket.
5. Hang or set up the trap, preferably in a warm, sunny place.

Important instructions for use

• The attracting effect is activated by UV radiation within 2-3 days.
• Product effect: up to 8 weeks. Add a new attractant as soon as the warning color has visibly faded (refill pack available).
• In the event of heavy evaporation due to high outside temperatures, premature refilling may be necessary.
• Bees and other beneficial insects are not actively attracted by the attractant.
• For optimum protection, we recommend using 3 traps, each about 5 m away from the area to be protected.
• Check the water level regularly to maintain effectiveness; empty, remove or refill the trap as required as soon as it is filled with dead flies.
• Only use in accordance with the instructions for use.
