  • Effective against bacteria and yeasts
  • Application quantity: 5 ml per cow and treatment
  • Suitable for manual dipping, manual spraying, electronic spraying systems, automatic dipping and milking robots

Product description

Dip es SF is a ready-to-use teat disinfectant for use after milking in dairy cows. It is effective against bacteria and yeasts and should remain on the teats until the next milking.

Instructions for use

Bring the product to a temperature above 20 °C before use. The use of a dosing pump is recommended for filling application equipment. Clean the teats immediately before milking by carefully wiping them with a disposable cloth/paper. After treatment, the animals should be allowed to stand for at least 5 minutes.

Application quantity

Cows: 5 ml per treatment (prepare per cow).

Application methods

Manual dipping

Fill the storage container with the ready-to-use product (prepare 5 ml per cow) and screw the dip cup onto the canister. Avoid the escape of excess liquid. After milking, squeeze the storage container and place the dip cup over each teat from below so that about 3 cm of the teat is immersed in the disinfectant. Refill the cup of the dip unit with fresh disinfectant if necessary and refill the reservoir as required.

Manual spraying with a spray gun

Fill the storage container with the ready-to-use product (prepare 5 ml per cow) and screw on the spray gun. Avoid the escape of excess liquid. After milking, spray on the disinfectant so that about 3 cm of the teat canal is covered with disinfectant. Refill the reservoir if necessary.

Manual spraying with an electronic sprayer

Open a canister with the ready-to-use product (prepare 5 ml per cow) and insert the suction lance of the electronic sprayer. Avoid the escape of excess liquid. Spray onto the teats after milking, covering about 3 cm of the teat canal. Replace empty canisters if necessary. To clean the sprayer, place the suction lance system in a bucket of water and rinse the device by pumping water through it.

Automated dipping

Open a canister with the ready-to-use product and insert the suction hose of the automated dipping system. After milking, the vacuum is switched off and the teat disinfectant is injected into a distributor on the claw piece. The teats are covered with approx. 5 ml of dip when the teat cup is removed using the automatic removal system. After each milking, the liners are thoroughly rinsed with water, blown out with compressed air and finally disinfected (e.g. with a product containing chlorine). The milking system is then ready for the next milking. The entire process is automated.

Automated spraying with a milking robot

Open a canister with the ready-to-use product and insert the suction hose of the milking robot. The teats are cleaned by the robot with automatic brushes. After milking, the disinfectant is automatically sprayed onto the teats by a milking cluster arm. Leave the product on the teats until the next milking. Ensure that the animals remain standing for at least 5 minutes after treatment. The sprayer is rinsed automatically.

Application-specific risk mitigation measures

  • Take care not to work in a spray mist.
  • If a combination of disinfection before and after milking is required, a different product that does not contain iodine must be used for disinfection before milking.
  • Empty the storage container and dip cup after disinfection and clean by rinsing with water.

Security

Detailed information on possible side effects and emergency measures can be found in the safety data sheet. Always have the product container or label ready in case of medical assistance.
