Cyracid® 50 SPG

Cyracid® 50 SPG is a larvicide and insect growth regulator against fly maggots (including rat tail larvae) in manure and slurry. The highly water-soluble granulate prevents the development of fly larvae so that no flies capable of flying are produced; it can also be used in occupied stables.

Application / Dosage

The best results are achieved immediately before stabling and after mucking out or draining the manure. Preventive applications should be carried out in spring. If fly pressure is high, a second treatment may be necessary after 14 days. No waiting time.

Dosage (application types)

• Watering: 20 g Cyracid 50 SP in 15 l water for 20 m².
• Watering (large area): 500 g Cyracid 50 SP in 375 l water for 500 m².
• Spraying: 20 g Cyracid 50 SP in 5 l water for 20 m².

Areas of application and notes

For fully slatted floors, treat the entire surface; for partially slatted floors, treat the slatted surface and the edges of the lying areas. Areas around troughs and pen partitions should also be treated. Due to the duration of action and manure growth, application at intervals of approx. 4 weeks is recommended to prevent further generations. In order to additionally contain fly proliferation in the following days and weeks, Cyracid 50 SP should be combined with a fly control product – our LD 100 line is recommended as a combination for this purpose.

Cleaning the equipment

Residues of the spray or watering water can be spread on surfaces that have already been treated. Rinse the sprayer or watering can with as little water as possible.
