The ready-to-use application solution is odorless and provides long-lasting protection of breeding facilities. It can be sprayed or brushed on.

Active ingredient and mode of action

Muscid 100 SG contains the insecticidal active ingredient acetamiprid, which acts on the insects’ nervous system, causing them to die. It also contains a sex pheromone (cis-tricos-9-ene) and two flavorings that create an attractant effect. The product is suitable for preventive and curative treatments.

Dosage: 500 g concentrate = 5 L application solution = sufficient for up to a maximum of 200 m² barn area.

Spray application

500 g diluted in 5 L of water is sufficient to treat an area of 200 m². Only apply the product to areas that are inaccessible to animals and do not come into direct contact with their food. Spread the solution with a low pressure sprayer on areas frequented by flies and treat a total of about 1/3 of the areas where flies are sitting or resting.

Coating application

500 g diluted in 320 ml water is sufficient to treat an area of 200 m². Only apply the product to areas that are inaccessible to animals and do not come into direct contact with their food. For optimum protection, apply the paste with a brush or roller in 25-30 strips (e.g. 20 × 20 cm or 30 × 10 cm) to the flies’ preferred resting places, preferably on light-colored and smooth surfaces.

Notes

It takes effect within a few hours and protects for up to 3 months.

Apply every 1 to 3 months as required, but no more than 6 applications per year.

Remove all animals and their feed from the building before treatment (when preparing the dilution and using the product). As soon as the treated surfaces have dried, the animals can be brought back into the building.

Food, crockery and surfaces that come into contact with food must not be contaminated.

Do not reuse packaging. Prepare the diluted product for one application only and do not store for reuse.

Do not dispose of product or container in drains, gutters, waterways or sewers.

Wash hands and uncovered skin after use.
